Going Under the Knife

Not today but soon. After meeting with the pain management team today, the great people at Hoag Spine Institute Newport Beach, CA we all came to the understanding that I am not a candidate for a second epidural. My laterally herniated L3/L4 disc is not behaving well. Still suffering too many on-going symptoms of impingement to ignore. 

I may be able to ride my bicycle around the block a few times but not about to be doing the Ride Across America 2 Cure Cancer loop. Not without surgery, rest, and a start all over again on my training. Pushing my time to the first bicycle ride around the block to at least the end of March. 

Hopefully the nice people at Cycle of Life Adventures will be accommodating. I see on their website the Spring ride is totally sold out. And that is without me.
