Approximately 3,000 miles by bicycle from sunny San Diego, CA to sunny St. Augustine, FL. One I add in my ‘off day’ spinning rides to keep my legs fresh the total distance should come in at or over 3,000 miles.
For those who want to follow my efforts I will be posting daily blog updates. Time permitting the occasional YouTube video update with more insights.
Two great resources to better understand and visualize the route. The first of course being our tour guides, Cycle of Life Adventures with this excellent description of their official route. https://cycleoflifeadventures.com/tour/epic-cross-country-southern-tier-bike-tour/https://cycleoflifeadventures.com/tour/epic-cross-country-southern-tier-bike-tour/
There is some fine reading along with an interactive map from the Adventure Cycling Association. Although start/finish are roughly the same there are slight variations in their route. In part as this is designed for self-guided individuals and small groups. Far more adventurous than me.

And don’t forget that Randy Bufford is out on course right now with the Cycle of Life Adventures fall tour group. He is posting updates.
