More Big Data From The Real World

Nothing like having access to tons of data while you are exercising and especially afterwards. It is far more than miles, average speed, average heart rate, and elevation gain.

Averages don’t tell you a lot as an average HR of 112 beats a minute could mean I spent three hours riding we a very comfortable and consistent HR between 95 and 120. Or as is more often the case the ride requires periodic bursts of enegy with HRs hitting 130 to 140. But time spent coasting and easy pedaling still keeps the average in the 110 to 114 range. So beware of averages.

Here is a snapshot of my Sunday ride. I stuck to my plan spending the bulk of my time split between upper Zone 2 and Lower Zone 3 Cardio. This to specifically train / build mitochondria and capillaries.

Plus I am planning an epic 75+ mile ride on Monday, April 7 – my birthday ride with a training buddy. Need to leave some energy in the tank.

Check out my road cycling activity on Garmin Connect. #beatyesterday

Oh it was a great week for training and weightlifting. Total Intensity Score coming in at 795. On track to start building up for 200 mile weeks. Especially now that the weather in SoCal has improved to our more normal Spring conditions.

Should ne good to go in the morning!
