What Is The Best Date to Announce I Am Now The Chief Bicycle Officer?

I suppose that day is coming soon. I certainly don’t plan to make the announcement on April 1^st, no sense in being classified as yet another April Fools’ joke. Clearly the Ride Across America 2 Cure Cancer, 3,000-mile epic bicycle ride from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL is no joke. 

The RAAM2CC effort is ramping up. From planning, training, fundraising, networking with partners, suppliers, the City of Hope along with the very broad cancer / medical research community, and other sports/health organizations like NICA and National Senior Games to broadening the RAAM2CC communication channels and outreach. All of which will require additional structure as the organization (not-for-profit) grows. As the founder, and so far, only committed cyclist (maybe I should be committed), it is time to consider business cards, stationary (already have the Logo although it may require modification for certain uses), QR codes, the mandatory PowerPoint template, corporate style guide, etc. Oh, we are going to have so much fun. And did I mention a few press releases are in the works?

 Well to answer the question, not today (March 31, 2025) and certainly not tomorrow (April 1^st), not April 15 (Tax Day). Right now I am leaning heavily towards Monday April 28^th. Stay tuned.
