As in the State, where my wife and I are visiting our granddaughters. Ok, daughter-in-law too while we wish our son and the crew of the USS Wyoming a safe, uneventful deployment.
Have to say this area is flat, windy (feels like more headwinds than tailwinds), little cover, and incredibly courteous drivers. Wow, sure wish people in California would take lessons. Seems few are ever in a hurry. Most go far out of their way to give cyclists safe space / passage.
Combine that with some nice State Parks, like Crooked River and the beautiful, quaint St. Mary’s make a visit to Kingsbay NSB all the more enjoyable.
A big shout out to Terry and his wonderful wife who who run Camden Bikes. They hooked me up with a fun bike and some great routes. Wish I could do the local Saturday group ride but my youngest granddaughter’s First Birthday takes priority!
One of the sights we should not take for granted.
